Students from all over the world choose C.Lawrence Academy as they work towards earning the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), which is recognized by universities and colleges all over the world.
At C.Lawrence Academy, students are considered as international students if they are neither Canadian citizens nor permanently residing in Canada. An international student does not require a study permit in order to take online courses at C.Lawrence Academy. However, if you plan to physically enter Canada in order to study, you may need a student visa and a study permit. Please contact Citizenship and Immigration Canada for more information.
When taking a course that requires a prerequisite, C.Lawrence Academy requires a copy of the student’s official transcript to prove he or she has met the equivalent of the prerequisite course requirement. If the student’s transcript is not written in English, an English translation of the transcript along with the original one must be submitted to C.Lawrence Academy. Ask your previous school to translate the transcript into English. If your school is unable to issue an official transcript in English, try to get some help at a local translation service in your city.
All courses at C.Lawrence Academy are delivered in English. Proficiency in English is a requirement of all students who take courses with us. Students may be required to complete the English Language Placement Test in order to determine their level of English language competency.
All students must forward a copy of their government-issued ID to C.Lawrence Academy. Acceptable examples include passport, driver’s license, or birth certificate. Identification must be provided in the English or French language, or be accompanied by a notarized English translation.
The Ontario Student Record (OSR) is a physical file folder containing all official school records for a student, such as transcripts, community service records, Ontario literacy records, report cards, PLARs, and all other important information pertaining to the student’s education. C.Lawrence Academy does not charge any fees to establish an OSR. However, In order for any student to take an online course with C.Lawrence Academy, an OSR must either exist or be established.
